Ian Hesketh is Australian Research Council Future Fellow; Institute for Advanced Studies in the Humanities, University of Queensland, Australia.
Ian Hesketh’s research concerns the relationship between science, religion, and history in Victorian Britain. His books include Of Apes and Ancestors: Evolution, Christianity, and the Oxford Debate (2009), The Science of History in Victorian Britain (2011), and Victorian Jesus: J. R. Seeley, Religion, and the Cultural Significance of Anonymity (2017). His current ARC-funded research project is entitled “The Place of History in Science: Reassessing the Darwinian Revolution”.
