Meera Gopakumar is currently Assistant Professor (Ad-hoc) at the Department of Political Science, Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi.

She is working on PhD Thesis titled “Science, Reason and the Self: Competing Discourses from the State and Society in India” from Centre for Political Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University after completing M.A and M.Phil (Dissertation) from the same centre. She has presented papers at conferences including ) Workshop on “The Bare Necessities: Histories of Provisioning from the Second World War to the Present” at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science (Berlin, 2018) titled “Science and State Entangled: Politics and Rationality of Health Policies in India(1950-1980)” and UCSIA Summer School (University of Antwerp, Belgium 2016) titled “Science, Religion and Social transformation in Kerala: A study of Yukthivadis and Kerala Shastra Sahitya Parishath”. She has published in journals including FORUM: South Asian Perspectives on Management and Social Sciences titled “Rationalism, Science and Social Transformation: The Early Yukthivadis of Kerala”. Her areas of interests include History of Science, Politics of Science Movements in Society, Geographies of Rationalism and Science.
