Samuel Umoh Uwem, Assistant Professor at the University of Hradec Kralove. Samuel holds a Ph.D. in International Relations and a master’s in history and strategic studies. Before his appointment at UHK, he taught international Organizations, sustainable development, the History of Southern Africa, African politics, and Cultural Heritage Tourism at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, and the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

He is a recipient of the Coimbra Group Scholarship Programme for early researchers. Samuel is also a member of the Institute for Justice and Reconciliation, the United States Institute of Peace, the International Association for the Study of Forced Migration (IASFM), and the Institute of Security Studies (ISS).

He is a researcher with diverse research interests in International Organizations, Democratic institutions, Public Policy, Climate Change, Political Economy, International Relations, Mental health, Migration, and minority studies.
