Efram Sera-Shriar is an associate professor in English studies at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

He is broadly interested in cultures of science and religion and their intersection with the occult. His most recent book Psychic Investigators (2022) explores the entangled history of anthropology and Modern Spiritualism during the late Victorian age. Currently, he is working on a new project that examines popular representations of occulture in videogames during the era of Satanic Panic in the USA.
