GRAIGUER, CHAFIK

Chafik Graiguer is a senior member of the Pedagogic Inspectorate Board at the Ministry of Education in Morocco (Division of Philosophy). Between 1996 and 2014, he taught philosophy at high schools for  10th, 11th and 12th grades.

He is working on a Ph.D. thesis on “The Ethical Autonomy in Classical Islam” at Hassan II University, Casablanca, along with a Fulbright scholarship grant at Vanderbilt University.

His research aim to bring the rich Islamic theological and philosophical heritages into dialogue with modernity. Being an educational professional, he is particularly interested in the integration of critical thinking skills into school curricula and in how scientific ideas embedded in various high school’s syllabus shape the beliefs of the young learners.
