PRICE, MICHAEL
PSYCHOLOGY
Michael Price is Senior Lecturer in Psychology at Brunel University, London.
Hailing originally from the USA (BA Psychology, Duke University; PhD Biosocial Anthropology, University of California Santa Barbara), Michael joined Brunel in 2006. Most of his research, conducted in both indigenous Amazonian and industrialised Western societies, has investigated the evolution of human moral psychology. In recent years his work has become increasingly focused on the biocultural evolutionary origins of religious belief systems. He is hopeful that eventually, the relationship between ‘religion’ and ‘science’ will become widely understood as one of mutual reinforcement, rather than mutual incompatibility.
