CATTO, REBECCA
SOCIOLOGY, SOCIOLOGY OF RELIGION
Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Kent State University
Rebecca Catto is an assistant professor of sociology at Kent State University. Her research is qualitative in approach and framed by an overarching interest in religious-secular relations: how religious individuals and groups in Europe and North America and beyond engage across boundaries, with those of other faiths, no faith, and especially in the public realm, and the power dynamics involved. She has published articles on atheism, Christian mission, youth and religion, state-religion relations, and science and religion. She was a co-investigator on the “Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum” (SRES 1) project. Dr Catto is also a member of the American Academy of Religion’s Sociology of Religion Unit’s Steering Committee.
