PSYCHOLOGY OF RELIGION, SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY
Richard Grove is a social psychologist interested in the various ways that religious belief and religious group identity influence the way people perceive the world.
After receiving his PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of North Dakota in the United States, Richard relocated to the United Kingdom and joined as postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Birmingham in 2020.
Particularly, he is interested in how religious and nonreligious individuals are perceived in society, how each perceives their own religious ingroup, and how they perceive outgroups. He has published on the topic of intergroup bias between religious and nonreligious individuals, as well as the topic of Christian and atheist stereotypes.
