COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY, COGNITIVE SCIENCE OF RELIGION, PSYCHOLOGY, PSYCHOLOGY OF RELIGION, SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY
Larisa Heiphetz runs the Social and Moral Cognition Lab at Columbia University.
Her research focuses on moral psychology, including connections to religion. She has investigated topics such as the development of religious prejudice and children’s and adults’ God concepts.
In recognition of her work, Professor Heiphetz received the 2017 APS Rising Star Award, 2018 ISCON Early Career Award, and 2019 SRCD Early Career Research Contribution Award, among other honors.
She obtained her PhD in Psychology from Harvard University in 2013 and worked as a post-doctoral fellow at Boston College prior to joining Columbia in 2016.
