Dr Alexander Hall

Dr Alexander Hall is a historian of popular science and a science communication expert, who is an Assistant Professor at McMaster University and a Co-Investigator on the Science and Religion: Exploring the Spectrum of Global Perspectives project. At home exploring the intersections of the environment, the media and science, Dr Hall has a diverse range of research interests including subjects such as belief and trust in science, community memory of extreme weather, media coverage of climate change, and the history of science on broadcast media. His most recent research and publications explore the history of how evolutionary science has been communicated via broadcast media in the UK. Alexander is a past President of the International Commission for the History of Meteorology and was formerly the Section Recorder for the History of Science Section of the British Science Association.
