PhD in Anthropological Sciences from UAM Iztapalapa. She has been a postdoctoral researcher and guest researcher at CIESAS Occidente, and is currently a research professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Guadalajara, Mexico. Member of the National System of Researchers.
Author of the book “Mujeres en círculo: espiritualidad y corporalidad femenina” (Women in Circle: Female Spirituality and Corporality), she has focused her studies on unaffiliated young people and women in urban areas in central and western Mexico, analyzing their modes of organization and trajectories, the uses and meanings of the body, and the articulation of narratives and spiritual practices of diverse origins.
In recent years, her work has been constructed from the intersection of feminism, spirituality, and corporality, addressing topics such as abortion, menstruation, and health.
