Pete is the Research Director of the Ian Ramsey Centre for Science and Religion in the Faculty of Theology and Religion at the University of Oxford.
His research focuses on the history of Christian thought from the early modern period to the present, and particularly on its entanglements with science and political economy. He is the author of Naturalism in the Christian Imagination (CUP, 2022), and of a forthcoming monograph on the worldview of the investor turned philanthropist John Templeton (OUP, to appear in 2025). He is a Fellow of the International Society for Science and Religion and of the Royal Historical Society.
