Dr. Rebecca Hughes is a social psychologist and early career researcher affiliated with the University of Birmingham, currently working with the ISTEMMiCS research group (Institute for STEMM in Culture and Society) on a large multi-disciplinary project investigating perceptions of Future Flight Technologies.
Her primary focus/discipline is social psychology and quantitative methods, applying this experience to survey and experimental design and analysis with varying topics relating to social identity and group affiliations. These include threat perception and intergroup bias, religious social identity and perceptions of science, and, most recently, social identity and group affiliation related to perceptions of future flight technologies.
