Corey Cook is an experimental social psychologist and Associate Professor of Psychology at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, WA, USA.
He is currently working as a Humboldt Research Fellow at the Social Cognition Center Cologne at University of Cologne. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Arizona State University and his Masters and PhD in Social Psychology from University of Florida. His research explores the influence of social motives on cognition and behavior, focusing specifically on threat perception, stereotyping, and prejudice. He also has research interests in morality, religiosity, and open science.
In 2022 he was selected as a Fulbright Scholar to Germany to develop studies exploring the role of fundamental social motives on social cognitive processes, and in 2024 he was awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship to continue this work.
