How to Apply

Thank you for your interest in applying for funding. The Seed Funding and Small Research Grants fund is now open for applications. This is the first of a number of funding opportunities that will be made available between 2020 and 2022. Further details about our strategic funding aims can be found here.

Researchers at any career stage who work on the social study of science and religion in society from anywhere in the world may apply. The scheme has been designed to support academics just starting out in their careers in the field, or those seeking to establish themselves further by conducting socially relevant research in this field.

  1. Read the Guidance for Applicants document in full before starting your application.
  2. To make an application complete and submit the INSBS Seed Funding Small Research Grant 20-21 Application Form.
  3. As per the guidance document, you must also provide specified supporting documents. You are requested to provide a Budget and a Timeline for your project, using the template documents. We also request letters of support from your institution(s) and CVs for all members of the project team.
  4. Please submit your application as one document to to the Grants Officer, Paula Brikci.

This current round of funding has an open, rolling deadline for applications until 1 October 2020, at which time this deadline will be reviewed. Please note that all funded projects must complete by 31 July 2021. See the Guidance for Applicants below for full details.
