I am in the final year of my PhD at the University of York. I am using qualitative data to examine the lived experience of sleep paralysis, and much of my work has focused on sleep paralysis as a spiritual, transcendental and state of altered consciousness. My interests also go wider than this, as I’m exploring beliefs and culture, lucid dreaming, out-of-body experiences, psychic phenomena, and consciousness outside of the body.
