Dr. Kevin Muriithi Ndereba (PhD, University of South Africa) is a Lecturer and Head of Department, Department of Practical Theology in the School of Theology at St. Paul’s University, Kenya and is an affiliated Research Fellow at Stellenbosch University, South Africa. He uses sociological and psychological concepts to study the relationship between science and religion, with a keen interest in contextualizing and decolonizing discourse in Africa. As a science-engaged theologian, he is developing a project on youth mental health in African congregations as part of his fellowship in the Psychology cross-training program for Theologians at the University of Birmingham. His research has explored youth non-religion/atheism in Africa (Kenya, Benin, Burundi, and Ivory Coast), integrating spirituality in science (higher) education, and perspectives of faith and science among African scientists in congregations.
